UMKC Heads To California For Two WAC Matches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC volleyball (15-8, 6-3) will look to pick up wins in a pair of WAC road matches this week when they take on CSU Bakersfield (11-11, 4-5) on Thursday at 9 p.m. CT in Bakersfield, Calif., and California Baptist (18-5, 8-2) on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT.

Fans can follow all the action via live stats here and watch the CSU Bakersfield match on ESPN+ and the California Baptist live on the WAC Digital Network.

About the Roos
UMKC enters the match with a 15-8 record overall and a 6-3 mark in WAC play.  This season, the Roos have picked up WAC wins over Utah Valley, California Baptist, Chicago State, Seattle U and Grand Canyon (x2).  On the year, UMKC has garnered four WAC Player of the Week awards, as Tyrecia Lukes (x2) and Melanie Brecka garnered offensive honors and Alex Ratzlaff was awarded the defensive honor.

CSU Bakersfield enters the match with an 11-11 record overall and a 4-5 mark in conference play, good for a fifth-place spot in the standings.

California Baptist enters the match with a record of 18-5 overall and a mark of 8-2 in the conference, good for first, with one of the losses coming to the Roos.
