Track and Field Receives Seven Academic All-WAC Nominations

DENVER, Colo. -- The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced the 2018-19 Academic All-WAC selections for winter sports participants this week. UMKC received seven nominations with all the student-athletes coming from Track and Field.

To be eligible for a Academic All-WAC selection, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.

After finishing the 2017-18 winter season with 33 selections through the basketball and track and field programs, the Roos have now averaged 22 selections per year since joining the conference back in the 2013-14 campaign.

All seven student-athletes have combined for a 3.65 cumulative GPA throughout their college careers as of the Spring 2019 semester.

Men’s Track and Field

  • Lachlan Moore, Jr.
  • Daylan Quinn, Jr.
  • Josh Sanders, So.

Women’s Track and Field

  • Matia Finley, Sr.
  • Mara Meneely, Jr.
  • Louisa Nylander, Sr.
  • Jada Steele, Jr.
