UMKC Heads to Pacific Northwest for WAC Cross Country Championships

SEATTLE, Wash. – UMKC’s men’s and women’s cross country teams will race in the WAC Cross Country Championships at Jefferson Park Golf Course on Saturday.

The women’s race starts at 11 a.m. CT while the men’s race will start at 12 p.m. CT.

Competing for the Roos men will be James Barnett (Blue Springs, Mo.), Darrien Case (Parkville, Mo.), Jason Fambrough (Raymore, Mo.), Marcus Johnson (Nixa, Mo.), Nathan Keown (Columbia, Mo.), Bryce Miller (Ashland, Wis.), Quinlan Moll (Springfield, Mo.), Lachlan Moore (Nixa, Mo.) and Daylin Quinn (Mountain View, Mo.).

For the UMKC women, Kelly Carpenter (Wildwood, Mo.), Chandler Carreon (Lake St. Louis, Mo.), Tabitha Griffith (Farmington, Mo.), Sarah Jaloma (Atchison, Kan.), Megan Mills (Nixa, Mo.), Elizabeth Nolke (Lee’s Summit, Mo.), Gabrielle Penaflor (Thornton, Colo.) and Katie Tuck (Smithville, Mo.) will race.

UMKC was picked to finish second in the men’s team standings and sixth in the women’s in the Pre-Championship WAC Coaches Poll.
