UMKC Women's Hoops Offering Summer Camp Sessions

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC Women’s Basketball and head coach Jacie Hoyt are excited to offer three summer camps that will run from June 25-29.

Camp season starts with the Roos offering a Fundamental Camp June 25-28 from 8:00 am -11:00 am CT for girls grades K-5. Kindergarten-2nd grade campers will play games to introduce them to basic basketball concepts. The 3rd-5th grade campers will participate in interactive drills to establish and evolve their skills. Sportsmanship and teamwork will be emphasized, and the rules of the game will be introduced.

For campers in grades 6-8, UMKC offers the Developmental Camp June 25-28 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm CT. Campers will further develop their fundamental skills through ball handling, passing, shooting, and rebounding drills. Defensive concepts will also be covered to make for a well-rounded player. Players will also have the opportunity to learn how to play alongside teammates in 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 situations.

The final 2018 camp is our Elite Camp June 29 from 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm CT for grades 9-12. Advanced players interested in building their skills to compete at the highest level will be put through intense practice drills designed to evaluate talent and provide valuable feedback.
