UMKC Set To Open 2018 With Trip To Northern Intercollegiate

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC men’s golf team returns to action for the 2018 season when they take part in the Northern Intercollegiate at the Rich Harvest Farms (par-72; 7,281) in Sugar Grove, Ill.

The Field
The 14-team field includes: Augusta, Aurora, Coastal Carolina, Grand Canyon, Marquette, Miami (OH), Michigan, Missouri, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Toledo, UMKC, Wisconsin and NIU, as well as individuals from UCLA.

The Schedule
The Roos will tee-off in a shotgun start on both Sep. 15-16 at 8:15 a.m. CT, with the first and second rounds taking place on Saturday and the third round on Sunday.

About the Roos
The Roos return to action in 2018 after claiming the WAC title last season, their second ever WAC title and fourth overall title, at the Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.  In the NCAA Regionals, the Roos finished 11th at the Norman, Okla., Regional at the Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.

The Blue & Gold will be back in action again on Sep. 30-Oct. 2, when they take part in the Jackrabbit Invitational at the Prairie Club in Valentine, Neb.
