EDINBURG, Texas – UMKC volleyball’s Alicia Harrington (Cedar Falls, Iowa) was named to the Second Team All-WAC on Wednesday night in a vote by the conference’s head coaches after being selected to the Preseason All-WAC Team at the beginning of the season.

On the year, Harrington ranks fifth in the WAC with 11 double-doubles and was named WAC Player of the Week on Oct. 9, as well as to the all-tournament teams at both the Culver Governors Challenge and the Kangaroo Klassic.  Her 284 overall kills are tops on the Roos and fifth in the conference, while her 171 kills in conference play are third best.  Her 24 kills against UTRGV on Oct. 28, meanwhile, rank as the sixth most in the WAC this season.

The Blue & Gold will be back in action again on Thursday when they open up the WAC Tournament as the No. 6 seed against No. 3 seed Utah Valley at 7 p.m. CT.
