KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Several members of the UMKC volleyball team joined forces with AmericaCorps and KindCraft for a community service project to help put together boxes of food at Harvesters for those in need in the Kansas City area last Friday.

“Our players enjoyed a terrific afternoon with other quality groups making up over 400 food boxes to serve the greater Kansas City community,” commented head coach Christi Posey. “It’s certainly life affirming to be able to work for others who may need a little help through a difficult time.”

KindCraft is a non-profit that was started by Stephani Whisner, who was a former high school setter for Posey at Blue Valley Northwest. The organization is made up of families who seek opportunities to engage young children through events and projects of service.
