Hagedorn Adds to Honors with AVCA All-Region Honorable Mention Selection

LEXINGTON, Ky. – UMKC senior middle hitter Emma Hagedorn (Parkville, Mo.) has been named to the 2016 All-Midwest Region Honorable Mention team, announced today by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA).

A first team All-WAC honoree, Hagedorn finished the season with a .439 hitting percentage, the highest mark in UMKC history and second-best in WAC history. Her hitting efficiency currently ranks first in NCAA Division I. She was selected to the all-tournament team at the WAC Tournament after posting 21 kills with just four errors on 42 attacks for a .405 hitting percentage in a five-set loss to UT Rio Grande Valley in the first round. Hagedorn also moved into the top 10 at UMKC in career kills, recording 997, 300 of which came in this season.

Those named to the all-region teams are now eligible for All-America honors, which will be announced next week during the AVCA Convention.
