'Roo Volleyball Ready For Spring Season

(Kansas City, Mo.) – Head Coach Christi Posey has announced the upcoming spring schedule for the Kansas City volleyball team with the ‘Roos hosting five local teams on Apr. 26 at the Swinney Recreation Center as the highlight.

The ‘Roos will open the spring against rival Rockhurst on Apr. 7 at the SRC before welcoming in a trio of teams to the Kansas City area on Apr. 12.

In the Apr. 12 event, the ‘Roos will open up at 10 a.m. against former Summit League rival Omaha at Blue Valley West, while following with contests against Arkansas State at 11 a.m. and Wichita State at 1:30 p.m.

On Apr. 19, UMKC heads south to Wichita, Kan., for second matches against Wichita State and Omaha.

The following weekend, the ‘Roos will close out the spring at the SRC on Apr. 26.  Joining the ‘Roos at the event are Kansas City pro team the Havoc, featuring former ‘Roos Lindsay Hood and Christiana McQuin and current ‘Roo assistant coach Amanda Guess, Big 12 foe Kansas State, Pitt State, Park and Rockhurst.
