KANSAS CITY, Mo. – For the fourth time this season and the second straight week, Aliona Ladutska was named the WAC Women’s Tennis Singles Player of the Week, the conference announced today.
Ladutska, a senior from Minsk, Belarus, pushed her winning streak to seven straight and nine of the last ten decisions. She competed at the top flight this past weekend as WAC play officially began. She took down UT Rio Grande Valley’s competitor with a score of 6-2, 7-6 (7-3). The next day Ladutska earned a 2-6, 6-4, 10-7 victory over Seattle U’s competition. Ladutska finished the weekend with a 6-3, 6-0 victory over Chicago State’s counterpart.
Earlier this season, Ladutska was named as the WAC Player of the Month for her efforts during October and WAC Player of the Week on Mar. 6 and Mar. 20.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again on Apr. 7-8 when they head to Seattle, Wash., for the final WAC Cluster of the season against Grand Canyon and New Mexico State.
