NORMAN, Okla. – The UMKC men’s golf program has been given All-Academic Team honors by the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA), as announced by the organization on Wednesday. It is the second-straight year the Roos have been recognized by the GCAA for excelling in the classroom.

UMKC is one of 121 Division I schools to earn the distinction after boasting a 3.51 grade point average in the classroom this spring. Three Roos – Nick Auer (Wichita, Kan.), Jack Hermeston (Newcastle, England) and Thibault Vieilledent (Cannes, France) – all posted a perfect 4.0 GPA in their studies, while three others recorded a GPA of 3.5 or better.

To be eligible for the GCAA All-Academic Team honors, each program must have a combined team GPA of 3.0 or better.
