PHOENIX, Ariz. – UMKC men’s golf tied for ninth at the GCU Invite, finishing a collective 17-over par. The Roos shot 288 (+4) in Saturday’s final round at the Grand Canyon University Golf Course.

Duke won the team title at 23-under par. GCU finished six shots back. Billy Comeaux of the Lopes claimed the individual title by one stroke, finishing at 10-under par for the tournament.

In Saturday’s third round, McCain Schellhardt (Edmond, Okla.) shot a 2-under par 71. Jakob Garstecki (Germantown, Wis.), Francois Lagraulet (Bordeaux, France) and Thibault Vieilledent (Cannes, France) all shot 73 (+2). Hubert Tisserand (Lyon, France) carded a 75 (+4).

The Roos return to the course at the Oregon Duck Invitational March 27-28 at the Eugene Country Club.
