KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC men’s golf team will look to advance to the NCAA Championship when it takes part in the NCAA Regional on May 14-16 at the Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Okla.

Field (14 teams): Arkansas, Auburn, BYU, Florida State, Navy, Nevada, North Florida, Oklahoma, Pepperdine, Prairie View A&M, Sam Houston State, San Diego State, UMKC and Virginia.

Course: Jimmie Austin Golf Club (Par – 72; 7,452 yards)

Location: Norman, Okla.

Host: Oklahoma

Schedule: Monday – Round 1 (8:55-9:39 a.m. CT tee time)/Tuesday – Round 2 (TBD tee time)/ Wednesday – Round 3 (TBD tee time)

Last Time Out: The UMKC men’s golf team advanced to the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship for the fourth time in school history after claiming their fourth overall conference championship and second WAC title after winning the 2018 WAC Men’s Golf Championship at the Prairie Dunes Country Club in Hutchinson, Kan.

The Roos fired a +25, 865 (284-287-294) to defeat runner-up Grand Canyon by four shots.

Previously, the Roos advanced to the NCAA Tournament with Summit League titles in 2011 and 2013 and a WAC title in 2016.

McCain Schellhardt led the Roos in the championship, claiming the individual title at +1 (73-67-71=211), three shots better than a trio of competitors.  The title is the first individual conference title for the Roos since Antoine Rozner won the event in 2016.
