UMKC to Compete in Hawkeye Invitational This Weekend

IOWA CITY, Iowa – UMKC men’s golf will compete in the Hawkeye Invitational Saturday and Sunday at Finkbine Golf Course. Saturday’s action will include 36 holes while Sunday will feature the final round.

The field includes the Roos, Iowa, Arkansas State, Denver, DePaul, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Marquette, Minnesota, Nebraska, South Dakota State, Texas Tech and Utah.

Finkbine is a par 72 course that stretches over 7,200 yards. It has been the host of numerous NCAA Tournament in addition to the Amana VIP Classic and 1991 Hogan Tour.

Jakob Garstecki (Germantown, Wis.) finished 13th individually for UMKC at Mizzou’s Tiger Invitational earlier this week. McCain Schellhardt (Edmond, Okla.) tied for 31st.

UMKC will compete in the Western Athletic Conference Tournament at Longbow Golf Club in Mesa, Arizona, on April 28-30.
