UMKC Moves Up Three Spots in Final Round of Tiger Invitational

COLUMBIA, Mo. – UMKC men’s golf shot 300 (+12) for the second consecutive round and moved up three spots to tie for eighth at the Tiger Invitational at The Club at Old Hawthorne. Jakob Garstecki (Germantown, Wis.) finished 13th individually after shooting 76 (+4) in the third round.

McCain Schellhardt (Edmond, Okla.) carded an even par 72 on Tuesday and tied for 31st individually. Francois Lagraulet (Bordeaux, France) closed with a 78 (+6). Jack Hermeston (Newcastle, England) shot 74 (+2) while Hubert Tisserand (Lyon, France) finished with an 80 (+8).

Mizzou won the team title by 18 strokes, finishing at 7-under par. Linus Lilliedahl won the individual title at 5-under par, finishing a stroke ahead of his teammate Hayden Buckley and Austin Peay’s Erik Hedberg.

UMKC returns to the course on Saturday and Sunday at the Hawkeye Invitational hosted by Iowa at Finkbine Golf Club.
