Lagraulet Leads UMKC on First Day of Louisiana Classics

LAFAYETTE, La. – UMKC men’s golf sophomore Francois Lagraulet (Bordeaux, France) shot a second round 71 (-1) to lead the Roos in the opening 36 holes of the Louisiana Classics Monday at Oakbourne Country Club. UMKC shot 304 (+16) and 301 (+13) in the first two rounds and sits in 14th place.

Lagraulet is tied for 24th individually after shooting 76 in the opening round before trimming five strokes over the next 18 holes. Hubert Tisserand (Lyon, France) is three shots behind Lagraulet and tied for 43rd after carding a 75 (+3) and 76 (+4). Thibault Vieilledent (Cannes, France) shot 78 (+6) and 76 (+4). McCain Schellhardt (Edmond, Okla.) recorded a 74 (+2) and 84 (+12) while Jakob Garstecki (Germantown, Wis.) went 80 (+8) and 78 (+6).

Kent State holds a 6-shot team lead at 15-under par. LSU is six shots back at 9-under while Texas A&M is in third place at 1-under.

Tuesday’s final round begins at 7:30 a.m. CT with UMKC tee times beginning at 8:02. A live stream will again be available. Live results are offered via Golfstat.
