KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Due to the threat of inclement weather, the UMKC softball doubleheader at South Dakota State in Brookings, S.D., has been cancelled.

Earlier this season, the Roos and the Jackrabbits split a pair of contests in Kansas City as part of the Creighton Tournament, with UMKC winning 6-4 on Mar. 16 and SDSU winning 10-8 in 8 innings the next day.

This season, UMKC has 25 wins, the sixth time in school history that the Roos have reached the 25-win mark and the most wins since the 27 in 2012.

The Blue & Gold will be back in action on Tuesday when they head north to Vermillion, S.D., to take on South Dakota in a doubleheader starting at 2 p.m. CT.
