Garcia enters the tournament hitting .344 with 62 hits, 14 doubles, two triples, five homeruns, 28 RBIs, 36 runs, 15 walks and eight steals, while slugging .528 and reaching base at a .396 clip. Her batting average is good for sixth in the WAC, while ranking second in doubles, third in hits, sixth in runs and triples and ninth in steals. This season she currently sits tied for fifth all-time at UMKC in hits and doubles this season and seventh in runs, while her 62 hits are 76 best in the NCAA.
Onstad finished the regular season hitting .344 with 54 hits, 19 runs, 12 doubles, two triples, four homeruns, 32 RBIs, 19 walks and six steals, while slugging .522 and holding a .425 on-base percentage. In the WAC, she ranks fifth in walks and seventh in average, hits and on-base percentage.
For Hoveland, this season she has picked up a team-high 10 victories, while posting a 4.00 ERA. She has struck out 69 hitters and has finished with six complete games, including two shutouts.
The Blue & Gold are set to open the double elimination WAC Tournament tomorrow afternoon at 4:30 p.m. CT as the No. 5 seed where they will face No. 4 seed Utah Valley in Phoenix, Ariz.
