DENVER, Colo. – UMKC track and field student-athlete Christopher Bryan (St. Catherine, Jamaica) has been named Western Athletic Conference Men’s Field Athlete of the Week, the league office announced on Tuesday.

Bryan leapt his way into UMKC’s top-five all-time performance list in the men’s long jump at the Herm Wilson Invitational on Saturday. The sophomore jumped 7.36 meters in the event to finish second overall in the college division. This mark sits atop the WAC performance list.

UMKC will have two more opportunities to gear up for the 2018 Western Athletic Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships that are set to be held in Nampa, Idaho, on Feb. 22-24.
