Jerman and Quinn Garner WAC Track Athlete of the Week Honors

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC track & field athletes Mia Jerman and Daylan Quinn were named WAC Track Athletes of the Week, the conference announced today. 

Jerman, a sophomore from Ste. Genevieve, Mo., out ran 28 competitors in the 3,000 meter run this past weekend at the Nebraska Tune-Up. She finished first with a personal record of 10:02.91. Jerman now ranks fourth best in school history and fourth in the WAC this season.  

Quinn, a sophomore from Mountain View, Mo., placed second in the mile out of 41 competitors this past week at the Nebraska Tune-Up. He crossed the finish line with a time of 4:12.25 which was good to place him third in the WAC best for the season right before the championship. Quinn now ranks fifth best in school history.    

The Blue & Gold will be back in action again starting Thursday when they open up competition in the WAC Indoor Track & Field Championships in Nampa, Idaho, at the Ford Idaho Center.
