AUSTIN, Texas – Thrower Harpreet Dosanjh (Overland Park, Kan.) and jumper Christopher Bryan (St. Catherine, Jamaica) closed out a successful outdoor season on Thursday at the NCAA West Preliminary Round. It was the first trip to the national stage for both Roos.

Dosanjh opened competition for UMKC with the men's javelin. On this second throw attempt in the event, Dosanjh delivered a mark of 56.37 meters to finish 44th overall. The junior's throw was the fourth-furthest he recorded in the javelin this season.

In the men's long jump, Bryan leapt 7.58 meters on his second attempt to finish 22nd overall in the event. With his performance, Bryan notched a personal best and now ranks third all-time in UMKC program history.

The NCAA West Preliminary Round will resume for the Roos on Friday at 12 p.m. CT with the men's pole vault and women's discus throw.
