(Kansas City, Mo.) - UMKC men's soccer had three players earn post-season accolades from the Summit League on Thursday, headlined by Newcomer of the Year and first-team all-conference performer Jordan Rideout.

The freshman forward from Southport, England led the 'Roos with seven goals, including six in conference play this season. He was also named to the All-Newcomer Team.

Also being honored was junior midfielder Tom Black (Manchester, England). He earned first-team All-Summit League recognition, serving as the anchor in the central midfield for the 'Roos. He scored one goal and assisted in another on the year.

The final award-winner was freshman defender Michael Oakley (Lee's Summit, Mo.). He grabbed a spot on the All-Newcomer Team after anchoring the Kangaroos in the central defense in 2011.

UMKC finished 5-9-3 overall, and 2-2-2 in conference play to take fifth, missing the conference tournament by just a point.
