KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women's golf head coach Brianna Broderick has announced the addition of Victoria Pavlik to the Roos' roster for the upcoming season.

“We could not be more delighted to add Victoria to our Roo family,” commented Broderick. “I knew immediately after meeting her that she would be a natural fit for our program.

“On paper, Victoria's achievements throughout her high school career have given her the confidence to push harder and further than she imagined she would. Victoria is a young lady of strong character that loves to compete. Her future is quite bright and we are excited to watch her grow and accomplish all she sets her mind to.”

The San Antonio, Texas, native was moved to Winston Churchill High School's varsity squad during her rookie year. Pavlik was tabbed the team's most-improved student-athlete her sophomore season after improving her scoring average by 23 strokes.

Pavlik saved her best for last, carding a career-best round of 72 her senior season, while averaging a career-best 77 on the year. The Chargers' co-captain was named Player of the Year, while garnering first-team all-district laurels and second-team all-region recognition. Pavlik was also named to the 2017 Express News All-Area Super Team.

For her work in the classroom, Pavlik was recognized as a two-time National Honor Society member at her high school. She was also a women's golf academic all-district selection and an all-district athletic academic team member.
