UMKC Women’s Golf is excited to add a pair of international student-athlete golfers to the 2018-19 roster with the signings of Jamie Bellingham and Theresa de Bochdanovits.

"Both of these young ladies will bring elite experience to our program,” UMKC Head Coach Brianna Broderick said.  “Jamie has the experience to step in and help our squad immediately, and with Theresa we will add a student-athlete who has the ability shoot under par."

Jamie Bellingham, a transfer from Des Moines Area CC, will add immediate collegiate experience to a very young squad next year.  Jamie was a NJCAA Honorable Mention All-American at Des Moines CC in 2016-17.  During the 2017 fall season, Jamie led her team in three events and was the tournament medalist at the BVU Invitational.  An Auckland, New Zealand, native, Jamie will spend the next two years of at UMKC.

Theresa de Bochdanovits, a highly touted junior player from Germany, will bring UMKC a young but experienced international player.  During her past six amateur events, de Bochdanovits has six top-15 finishes, including a win this past June at the Bayern AK in Augsburg, Germany.  In addition, Theresa shot 65 to set the course record at Wurzburg Golf Club in Germany this summer.

"The addition of these two players will offset the loss of four seniors in 2018,” Broderick added.  “They both possess the competitiveness, athleticism and the passion to excel at being a UMKC student athlete. Most importantly they will blend with two returners, Victoria Pavlik and Cynthia Diaz, who have worked tirelessly to build the successful culture we have here at UMKC.
