KANSAS CITY, Mo. – After a bumpy start for the Fall 2018 season, the UMKC women’s golf team looks to bounce back at the FIU Pat Bradley Invitational this Sunday in Lakewood Ranch, Fla.
After a few weeks off in October, head coach Brianna Broderick’s team will look to compete hard and play smart when Sunday morning arrives at Lakewood Ranch Country Club.
Broderick will look to freshman phenom Theresa de Bochdanovits (Kist, Germany) to take charge when Sunday morning arrives for UMKC. Bochdanovits has delivered solid perfomances all year for the Roos, as she has accumulated scores of 225 (+8), 225 (+12) and 235 (+15).
As the fall season comes to a close, the Roos will look to keep improving as the Spring 2019 season will be coming up just around the corner.
Lineup for the Roos
For the tournament at Lakewood Ranch this week, the lineup has been tinkered with just a bit as Bochdanovits will control the lead spot followed by freshman Megan Lucas (Topeka, Kan.), senior Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia), Jaime Bellingham (Auckland, New Zealand) and sophomore Caroline Klemp (Lansing, Kan.)
Opposing schools that will be entering the field this upcoming week include: Cincinnati, Eastern Michigan, FAU, FGCU, FIU, Georgia State, Gonzaga, Jacksonville, McNeese State, Texas A&M-CC, South Florida, Southern Miss, UTEP, and Wyoming.
Tee times for each day are as followed: Sunday, Oct 21st: 8:00 a.m. C.T., Monday, Oct. 22nd: 8:00 a.m. C.T. and Tuesday, Oct. 23rd: 8”30 a.m. C.T. (shotgun start).
When all 48 holes are completed at Lakewood Ranch Country Club, the Roos will take a few days off before traveling down south to Arkansas to compete in the Little Rock Women’s Classic in Hot Springs Village, Ark. The tournament will run from Sunday, Oct. 28th through Tuesday, Oct. 30th at the Diamante Country Club.
