KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The UMKC women’s golf team opens up its 2018 spring season when it heads to Rio Verde, Ariz., for the Rio Verde Collegiate Invitational at the Rio Verde Country Club Quail Run Course (par-72; 6,128-yard) on Feb. 23-25.

Date: Friday, February 23 – Sunday, February 25

Field: (17 teams) Akron, Arkansas State, Ball State, Bowling Green State, Bradley, Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Missouri State, Northern Illinois, Ohio, Seton Hall, UALR, UMKC, Western Michigan, Wichita State, Xavier.

Course: Rio Verde Country Club – Quail Run Course (Par – 72; 6,128 yards)

Location: Rio Verde, Ariz.

Schedule: Friday – Round /Saturday – Round 2/Sunday – Round 3

About the Roos
This fall, Diaz and Gallagher each notched third place results with Diaz finishing third in the Pat Bradley Invitational and Gallagher coming in third in the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational.  Gallagher, meanwhile, shot a 70 at the Johnie Imes Invitational, tied for the fifth best round in school history, while her 218 in the event and Diaz’s 218 in the Pat Bradley Invitational are each tied for the third lowest 54-hole tournament score in school history.
