DENVER, Colo. – Kendra Leach (Easton, Kan.) and Maegan Rollow (Broken Arrow, Okla.) were selected to the Western Athletic Conference All-Tournament Team on May 13 at the conclusion of the WAC Softball Tournament.
A first-team All-WAC honoree, Leach finished the tournament second overall in batting average, going 10-for-16 (.625) from the plate. She also led the league in hits, while her seven runs were the third-most and her on-base percentage of .700 was the fourth highest.
Rollow finished just below .500 at the plate, going 8-for-17 with four doubles, a home run, 12 RBIs and 15 total bases. She finished the tournament among the top-three in several categories, including hits, doubles and RBIs. Rollow's four doubles broke a tournament record, while the 12 runners batted in by the sophomore tied a tournament record.
As a team, the Roos combined for 45 total runs on 59 hits in 26 innings of play while committing just a single error. UMKC's 20-10 victory over CSU Bakersfield set a WAC tournament record with its 20 runs in a single game, surpassing New Mexico State's 18 runs it scored against Utah Valley and CSU Bakersfield in 2015. The Roos also set a school record with their 20 runs, replacing the previous mark of 18 against South Dakota in 2015.
