BROOKINGS, S.D. – Tonight’s UMKC women’s soccer match against South Dakota State has been cancelled due to heavy rainfall recently in the area. The grass playing surface at Fishback Soccer Stadium has been deemed unplayable after seeing nearly three inches of rain over the past week.

Sunday’s contest at South Dakota will still be played and will serve as the last nonconference matchup of the 2018 season. Opening kick is set for 1 p.m. CT and will have Live Stats available to follow along with the action.

With Western Athletic Conference (WAC) play set to begin next week, the Roos will look to use what has been a strong showing in nonconference play to guide them in their pursuit of defending their WAC regular season championship a season ago. UMKC has knocked off major programs Kansas State, Iowa State, Creighton and Drake in the 2018 slate, along with taking nationally ranked Oklahoma State down to the wire in a 2-1 loss.
