LAKEWOOD, Wash. – The UMKC women’s golf team enters the final round of play at the Pat Lesser Harbottle Invitational in sixth position, just 13 shots off the lead at the Tacoma Golf and Country Club.
Chandler Gallagher (Kansas City, Mo.) leads the squad in a tie for eighth at +5 after rounds of 76 and 73 on day one. The senior began the day with a first round birdie on the par-4 5th, before adding four more in round two, including three over a five hole span on the back nine.
Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia) is currently tied for 16th as the junior carded back-to-back birdies in each of the first two rounds, on Nos. 2-3 in round one and Nos. 3-4 in round two.
Carding the Roos third lowest score was Maria Henao (Pereira, Colombia) who is tied for 33rd after a three-birdie opening day, while Celine Lim (Shah Alam, Malaysia) is tied for 44th finishing the day with one birdie in round one and three more in round two, including back-to-back birdies on Nos. 9-10.
Victoria Pavlik (San Antonio, Texas) rounds outs the UMKC lineup in a tie for 65th, carding her lone birdie in the second round on the par-3 17th.
North Dakota State holds the team lead by four shots over UC Irvine, while the Bison’s Natalie Roth is the individual leader at -1.
The Blue & Gold will be back in action again tomorrow morning when they tee-off in the third and final round at 10 a.m. CT.
