KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The two-time defending Western Athletic Conference champions have released their 2019 season schedule which includes 19 matches. The Roos will host 10 games at Durwood Stadium and head on the road for nine more.
UMKC opens up a highly anticipated fall schedule with its first home game coming against South Dakota State in exhibition play on Aug. 17th at 5 p.m. CT. The men’s soccer team will play immediately after the conclusion of the match with the Jackrabbits at 7:30 p.m. CT. The home stand will last until Sept. 1st with a match-up against Western Illinois at 1 p.m. CT.
The Roos will then take on back-to-back Missouri Valley Conference opponents as the team will head to Missouri State and Drake during Sept. 6-8th.
Western Athletic Conference play will begin at home for the Roos against UTRGV on Friday, Oct. 4th at 7 p.m. CT.
For conference play, UMKC will only host four WAC teams during the 2019 campaign which will include UTRGV, Utah Valley, Seattle U and California Baptist.
The conference tournament will be hosted by the reigning WAC Tournament champions Seattle U starting Wednesday, Nov. 5th in Seattle, Wash.
The 2019 NCAA Tournament bracket will be announced later that week during Nov. 16-17th.
UMKC comes off a 2018 regular season in which the team was crowned WAC Regular Season Champions for the second year in-a-row. The Roos will look to avenge a WAC Tournament Title defeat to Seattle U, who has entered the NCAA Tournament two of the last three years in the conference.

We have 10 regular season home matches this season in beautiful Durwood Stadium. We host three Missouri Valley Conference opponents, three Summit League opponents and one Big East Conference opponent in our non-conference schedule prior to hosting four WAC Conference opponents in October.”
