MANHATTAN, Kan. – UMKC volleyball returns to action on Tuesday when it heads west to Manhattan, Kan., for a match-up with Kansas State. First serve between the Roos and the Wildcats is slated for 6 p.m. at Ahearn Field House.
About the Roos
UMKC rebounded from a tough weekend at the Cougar Classic with a 2-1 mark in the Kangaroo Klassic, including their first ever win over Northern Iowa and their first ever win over a Big Ten foe when they knocked-off Rutgers. Emma Dyer was named MVP of the tournament, while Alicia Harrington also garnered all-tournament recognition after notching career-high’s in kills, digs and aces against South Dakota.
About the Wildcats
Kansas State enters the match with a 4-5 record overall, picking up wins over Pacific, Idaho, North Florida and Xavier this season. Offensively, Kylee Zumach paces the squad with 110 kills, while Alyssa Schultejans and Bryna Vogel have added 86 and 84, respectively.
The Blue & Gold close out their preseason slate when they head to Peoria, Ill., for the CEFCU Invitational on Sep. 15-16 with matches against Connecticut, Bradley and South Dakota State.
