KANSAS CITY, Mo. – UMKC women’s golf hosts the annual Kansas City Shootout on Sunday and Monday at Shoal Creek Golf Course. Sunday’s action will feature 36 holes while Monday will be the deciding round. There will be an 8:30 a.m. CT shotgun start both days.
Along with the Roos, Creighton, Little Rock, North Dakota State, Northern Illinois, Oklahoma Wesleyan, South Dakota, South Dakota State, UT Rio Grande Valley and Wichita State will compete in the tournament.
The Roos have finished third, seventh and ninth in the previous three spring tournaments. UMKC has been led by Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia), who tied for sixth individually the last time out at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate in Williamsburg, Virginia, on March 27-28.
Following this tournament, UMKC returns to play by hosting the Western Athletic Conference Championship on April 19-21 at Indian Hills Country Club in Mission, Kansas.
