ROOS on TV

MyKSMO-TV Channel 62 is the television home of the ROOS. KSMO is a major distributor of college athletics in KAnsas city, including the Kansas Jayhawk Network, the MIAA and Missouri Valley Conference. Neil Harwell serves as the play-by-play announcer and began calling UMKC games during the 1995-96 season. Neil is joined by former Kansas City Chief and current ESPN college football commentator, J.C. Pearson who joined the broadcast team during the 2010-11 season.

Join T.J. Jackson as he brings you all the action for volleyball, men's soccer, women's soccer and women's basketball. The pre-game show begins 15 minutes prior to the start of each contest.

Men's Basketball 

Sports Radio 810 WHB is the radio home of UMKC men's basketball. The majority of the home and away games can be heard on 810AM, with a few games heard on 1140AM/102.9FM. Check the team schedule for a complete listing of broadcast.

Steven Davis joined the UMKC Athletics Department as "The Voice of the Kangaroos" in June 2008. Davis, the son of long-time Kansas City Royals and Kansas play-by-play announcer Bob Davis, will bring you the play-by-play from every game. He will be joined on the broadcast by 810 WHB's Steven St. John, who will serve as the color commentator for home contests. Davis and St. John also host the "UMKC Coaches Show" every week live from the 810 Zone on the Plaza or in Leawood. The show can be heard on 810WHB.

Women's Basketball

UMKC women's basketball can primarily be heard on KCWJ, 1030AM The Light. T.J. Jackson is joined by Cindy Stein for all home UMKC women's basketball games. Select women's games can be heard on ESPN 1510. Check the team's schedule page for complete details.
