UMKC Men's Basketball Summer Camp Information

2011 Summer Camp Dates

Eligibility
Boys ages 8-18 for the 2011-12 academic year are eligible to attend the camp. Campers will be instructed in groups according to age and skill level.

Staff
The camp staff will feature UMKC Head Coach Matt Brown, his assistant coaches, along with Kangaroo men's basketball players.

Location
Air-conditioned Swinney Recreation Center, one block west of Rockhill Road at 51st and Holmes on the UMKC campus, is one of the finest camp facilities in the Midwest. The center includes five courts, 16 baskets and an indoor swimming pool, among other amenities.

Camp Hours & Registration
Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon on Friday, the last day of camp. Register Monday, the first day of camp, from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in the north lobby of the Swinney Recreation Center.

Costs
Tuition for the individual camp is $250 for the five-day session. The tuition includes instruction, guest lecturers, a camp basketball, lunch, insurance coverage and a camp t-shirt. A $100 non-refundable deposit is due upon submitting the application and the remaining balance is due on the first day of camp.

Insurance
Each camper is covered by a group accident insurance policy. A qualified athletic trainer will be on site during active camp hours.
