Directions to the Swinney Recreation Center
From the East:
Take I-70 West to I-435 South (exit will be marked “Wichita”). Travel south on I-435 to the Eastwood Trafficway exit (it will be the far right lane and is an “Exit Only” lane). Make a right at the bottom of the ramp and travel south on Eastwood Parkway. At the second light, make a right onto Blue Parkway. Travel west on Blue Parkway/Swope Parkway/Volker approximately five miles to Rockhill Rd. Turn a sharp left onto Rockhill and you will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right. Swinney Recreation Center is located directly south of the PAC.
From the Southwest:
Follow I-35 North to the Shawnee Mission Parkway exit. Make a right at the top of the ramp and travel east on Shawnee Mission Parkway through Overland Park, Mission and Fairway, then past State Line Road onto Ward Parkway. Travel east on Ward Parkway (stay in the rightmost two lanes) to Main. Turn right onto Main, and make your way immediately to the left lane. Turn left onto Volker and continue east to Rockhill. Bear right onto Rockhill and you will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right.
From the Southeast:
From Lee’s Summit, take I-470 West to the Grandview Triangle to US-71 North. From Grandview and places more south than east, follow U.S. Highway 71 North. Travel north on US-71 to the Swope Parkway/Emmanuel Cleaver II Blvd. exit. Turn left at the bottom of the intersection onto Swope Parkway/Volker Blvd. Take Volker west to Rockhill, then turn a sharp left onto Rockhill. You will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right. Swinney Recreation Center is located directly south of the PAC.
From the West:
Take I-70 East to I-670 East to I-35 South. Travel South on I-35 to the Broadway/27th St. exit. This is a left exit. Travel south on Broadway approximately three miles to 47th St. Turn left on 47th, followed by a right onto Main, and make your way immediately to the left lane. Turn left onto Volker and continue east to Rockhill. Bear right onto Rockhill and you will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right.
From the Northeast:
Take I-35 South around the north leg of the downtown loop to the Broadway/27th St. exit. This is a left exit. Turn left on 47th, followed by a right onto Main, and make your way immediately to the left lane. Turn left onto Volker and continue east to Rockhill. Bear right onto Rockhill and you will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right.
From the Northwest/Airport:
Take I-29 South to I-35 South. Travel around the north leg of the downtown loop to the Broadway/27th St. exit. This is a left exit. Turn left on 47th, followed by a right onto Main, and make your way immediately to the left lane. Turn left onto Volker and continue east to Rockhill. Bear right onto Rockhill and you will see the Performing Arts Center and University Center on your right.

Directions to Municipal
Auditorium
From the UMKC Campus: Exit the University Center parking lot and turn
left onto Rockhill Road and travel north to Volker (first light north of
campus). Make a left and travel west on Volker to Main. Make a right onto Main
and travel north to the first light. Get into the leftmost two lanes to position
yourself for a left turn. Make a left onto Ward Parkway and travel west on Ward
Parkway to Belleview (third light). Make a right onto Belleview. Travel north on
Belleview (which becomes Southwest Trafficway) approximately seven miles to I-35
North. Stay in the rightmost two lanes of northbound Southwest Trafficway in
order to enter I-35 North. Travel north on I-35 to the 14th Street exit. Exit
right and travel east on 14th Street two blocks to Central. Make a left on
Central and travel north. Municipal Auditorium is on your right at 13th Street.
If you wish to park in the Auditorium Garage, continue north past 13th Street to
the garage, which is on your right between 13th and 12th Streets.

From the Northwest/Airport: Take I-29 South to I-35 South. Travel

at the top of the ramp and travel east on 12th Street four blocks to Wyandotte.
Make a right onto Wyandotte and travel south a half-block to the Auditorium

Directions to the Plaza Tennis
Center
From the UMKC Campus: Exit the University Center parking lot and turn
left onto Rockhill Road and travel north to Volker (first light north of

yourself for a left turn. Make a left onto Ward Parkway and travel west on Ward
