2013-14 (Kansas City) -- In his two year playing career, earned All-WAC honors in each season, including a First Team nod in 2014... During that year, Tato led Roo midfielders with five assists en route to being named to the NSCAA All-Region Third Team... Was a Scholar Athlete and honored on the Academic All-WAC Team. Finished his Kansas City career scoring eight goals and posting nine assists... In 2014, started all 20 games, scoring three goals and ranking second on the team with 11 points... His goal against UNLV (10/19) was voted as the UMKC Goal of the Year by teammates... In 2013, named second-team All-WAC after tying for the team lead with 14 points... Led the team with four assists... He was the WAC Player of the Week after playing in the SMU Invitational (9/16), earning tournament co-MVP honors... He was second on the team with five goals, and his four assists all came in WAC play, ranking him second in the conference in WAC games.

Before Kansas City -- Played for head coach Tim Rooney at Lewis and Clark Community College, helping the team to a 13-7-1 record and an appearance in the Region 24 semifinals… He led the team with 14 goals and 13 assists for 41 points… He was named the Region Forward of the Year and to the first-team all-region squad… As a freshman he scored four goals and handed out six assists, helping the team to the region tournament and earning honorable mention all-conference… He played high school futsal in Brazil previous to that at Colegio Joao XXIII, where he was the team captain all three years.

Personal -- Born July 7, 1990 ... Son of Edmar Pedro Chiaparro and Maria Ines Rodrigues ... He has two older sisters, Yulika and Mayne ... Graduated from Colégio João XXIII High School in Brazil where he played fútsal... Went on to earn his Communication Studies and Spanish degrees from UMKC graduating in 2015.... Also received a master’s degree in Multicultural Education from UMKC in 2017... He is married to Angélica M. Duckworth.
