KANSAS CITY – UMKC men’s soccer won their second exhibition match of the 2018 season against Rockhurst, posting a final score of 2-0 on Saturday night.
UMKC was boosted by first half goals from Diego Serfaty (Caracas, Venezuela) in the 18th minute and Lorant Lettner (Budapest, Hungary) in the 23rd minute of play. Christian Anderaos (Sau Paulo, Brazil) tabbed an assist on the Lettner goal.
The Roos’ defensive line was stellar throughout all 90 minutes of action, stifling the Rockhurst attack and limiting their possession in the offensive zone. Goalkeepers Filippo Errico (Verona, Italy) and Ryan Tome (Pembroke Pines, Fla.) combined to collect four saves and a team shutout.
The home crowd for the Roos came out in force, setting a new program attendance record of 2,471.
