Game three featured the Roos once again leading near the midway point, this time holding a 15-13 edge over the Wolverines.  UMKC continued to lead at 16-15, but three straight from UVU put the Wolverines back in front.  The Roos would keep the set close, trailing by just one late at 20-19, but could get no closer falling 25-20.

In the fourth set, UMKC tried to force a fifth set, but was unable to push the match to the limit as the Roos fell 25-20.  Kansas City and the Wolverines battled back-and-forth as the score was knotted midway through at 16-16, but Utah Valley closed the match on a 9-4 run to win the match 3-1.
