SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia) sits in a tie for 12th position after firing rounds of 75 and 74 on the opening day of play at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial to lead the UMKC women’s golf team to an 11th place standing entering the final round of play at the Twin Oaks Country Club.

Fellow Colombian Maria Henao (Pereira, Colombia) carded the Roos’ second best opening day with a pair of 78’s that have her in a tie for 50th on the leaderboard.

Chandler Gallagher (Kansas City, Mo.) and Celine Lim (Shah Alam, Malaysia) are both tied for 61st entering the final round.  Gallagher opened with an 81 in round one and a 78 in round two, while Lim notched rounds of 79 and 80, respectively.

Cyrielle Kern (Curvy, France), meanwhile, is tied for 72nd after shooting an 86 and a 77.

Playing as an individual, Victoria Pavlik (San Antonio, Texas) is tied for 58th with rounds of 81 and 77 on day one.

Memphis holds the team lead in the event by 15 shots over Murray State, while the Tigers’ Michaela Fletcher is the individual leader at -1.
