UMKC Finishes Ninth at MSU Spring Citrus Challenge

SORRENTO, Fla. – UMKC women’s golf shot a final round 305 (+17) on Tuesday as the Roos finished ninth at the MSU Spring Citrus Challenge at the RedTail Golf Club. UMKC finished at a collective 922 (+58).

Cynthia Diaz (Bucaramanga, Colombia) shot 75 (+3) in the final round to tie for ninth overall at 7-over. Chandler Gallagher (Kansas City, Mo.) carded a third round 73 (+1) and tied for 13th individually.

Mackenzie Black (Independence, Iowa) closed with a 77 (+5). Abbey Campbell (Garden City, Kan.) shot 80 (+8) and Cyrielle Kern (Cuvry, France) finished with an 82 (+10).

Murray State claimed the team title, finishing nine strokes ahead of Florida Gulf Coast. FGCU’s Madeline Marck-Sherk won the individual title at 4-under par.

UMKC returns to the course at the Kingsmill Intercollegiate on March 27-28 hosted by William & Mary. The tournament will be played at the River Course at Kingsmill Resort in Williamsburg, Virginia.
