(Kansas City, Mo.) – UMKC men’s basketball announced its next signee on Wednesday, inking transfer combo guard Kevin Franceschi. Head coach Kareem Richardson and the Kansas City staff already picked up four others as part of the 2014 class in the early period last November.
“We are very excited to welcome Kevin to our family,” Richardson said. “He is a very talented guard that will add depth to our backcourt, but more importantly, he has proven to be a high character student-athlete.”
The ‘Roos will also add three redshirts to the lineup next season, two of which had to sit out due to Division I transfer rules. UMKC has two returning starters in WAC Freshman of the Year Martez Harrison, as well as fellow Kansas City product Frank Williams. UMKC brings back five letterwinners as well.
