'Roo Homecoming Dinner a Huge Success

(Kansas City, Mo.) - The numbers are in and the inaugural 'Roo Homecoming Dinner Fundraiser was a huge success for the men's basketball team on Thursday night. The event raised more than $20,000 and more than 200 people attended.

The keynote speaker, Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo,as well as UMKC head coach Kareem Richardson,  treated the audience to an entertaining evening. The entire 2013-14 team was also introduced, and Richardson named his team captains.

Season tickets for the 2013-14 men’s basketball campaign are on sale now, as the ‘Roos tip-off the new era on November 1 in an exhibition game against Rockhurst.
