(Kansas City, Mo.) - The Kansas City women's tennis team closed the home portion of their schedule in style as it knocked off Northwest Missouri State 7-0 on senior day at the Plaza Tennis Center.

The 'Roos (9-13) were on point from the start, taking the doubles tally after 8-2 wins at both the No. 2 and 3 spots. The 'Roos were three points away from finishing NWMSU (8-8) off at No. 1, as they were up 7-5 when the No. 3 match finished, clinching the point.

Before singles play began, the winningest senior class in school history was honored as Laura Bouet, Eva Dalvai, and Suzan Lisenby were recognized in their final home match.

All three responded with wins in singles play as well, with Lisenby making it 3-0 overall after a straight set win at No. 5. Every 'Roo won in straight sets on the day and the match was clinched after Amelie Amsallem claimed the fourth point at No. 6. Bouet and Dalvai followed by finishing their matches, before Maddie Schulte closed it out at No. 4.

The 'Roos have only one regular season match remaining, and that will be at Omaha. It was originally scheduled for Wednesday, but has been moved to Monday, April 15.
