(Kansas City, Mo.) - Kansas City’s Laura Bouet was named as The Summit League’s women’s tennis player of the week for her performance March 26-April 1.
Bouet, a senior from Gap, France, earned her fifth career award and first this season after combining for a 5-0 record in singles and doubles matches during The Summit League’s cluster at Rochester, Mich. Playing at No. 1 singles, Bouet scored victories over Oakland’s Emily Raidt (6-2, 4-6, 7-6 (7-5)), IUPUI’s Shelby Hullett (6-3, 6-1) and South Dakota’s Milica Pavlovic (7-5, 6-4). Teaming with Eva Dalvai at No. 1 doubles, Bouet was part of an 8-4 win against IUPUI and an 8-0 victory over South Dakota. Bouet helped the Kangaroos go 3-0 on the weekend to improve to 5-1 in Summit League play while clinching a berth in the league tournament.
