(Fayetteville, Ark.) - The Kansas City men's tennis squad held its own against the No. 51 Arkansas Razorbacks on Sunday, grabbing wins at No. 1 and No. 2 singles, but fell by a 5-2 score in the end.

The duo of senior Grant Fleming and junior Tomas Patino went undefeated on the day, winning their doubles match 8-4, before each battled to grab wins in singles action. Patino played at No. 1, grabbing a third set tiebreak 10-7 over Mike Ward. Fleming won in straight sets, including a first set tiebreak over Santiago Munoz. Arkansas (8-3) won each of the first five points in the match before UMKC claimed the final two.

The 'Roos (1-7) host a non-conference matchup against Oral Roberts next Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
