(Kansas City, Mo.) - The UMKC men's tennis squad jumped out early with the doubles point on Saturday against Air Force, but stormed back in singles play to take a 4-3 decision at Kansas City Country Club.
The 'Roos (1-6) got wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles pretty handily, but dropped tight decisions at No. 1 and No. 6 in singles action. Tomas Patino took a straight set win at No. 2, while Grant Fleming grabbed a come-from-behind victory at No. 3. The Falcons (6-4) got straight set wins at No. 4 and No. 5, but secured the win with the comeback at No. 6.
The 'Roos will head to Fayetteville, Ark. on Sunday for a contest with No. 51 Arkansas at 11:00 a.m.
