(Lawrence, Kan.) - The Kansas City women's tennis team completed its first day of action on Friday at the KU Invitational, and were led by singles performances from senior Suzan Lisenby and freshman Dimitria Stavrianakou.

Lisenby went 1-0 in the H draw with a 6-1, 6-3 win, while Stavrianakou was 1-0 with a 6-1, 6-1 win in the F Draw.

In doubles action, the A draw saw the pair of Laura Bouet and Eva Dalvai go 1-1, dropping into the consolation bracket, while Lisenby/Stavrianakou also went 1-1 in the same draw.

The tournament will continue with both doubles and singles bracket play over the next two days.
