UMKC, which collected its third straight regular season title, went 4-1 in The Summit League and has won seven of its last eight matches for an 8-14 overall mark. IPFW is the No. 2 seed, the highest in school history, after posting a 4-1 league record and league-best 12-10 overall mark. The Mastodons will match up against No. 3 seed IUPUI, who went 4-1 in league play and 10-14 overall. The No. 4 seed is South Dakota State, which makes its first Summit League Tournament appearance after going 2-3 in league play and 7-13 overall.
Men's semifinal play is Friday afternoon with both matches to be played simultaneously at 2 p.m. CDT. Friday's winners will meet Saturday at 2 p.m. in the championship match.
On the women's side, Oral Roberts is the top seed after an unbeaten league season. The Golden Eagles claimed their first Summit League regular season title since 2008 by posting an 8-0 record and compiling an 11-5 overall mark. Two-time defending champion IPFW is the second seed after going 7-1 in league play and 17-10 overall. The third seed is UMKC at 6-2 in league matches and 13-11 overall. Seeded fourth is Southern Utah, which posted a 5-3 league record and 9-9 overall mark.
Women's semifinal play begins Friday morning with both matches set for 10 a.m. CDT. Friday's winners will meet Saturday at 10 a.m. in the championship match.
