(Kansas City, Mo.) - UMKC senior Gustavo Guerin was named The Summit League Men's Tennis Player of the Week, it was announced today.  The Brazil native takes home the second honor of the season for the 'Roos after teammate Grant Fleming won earlier this season.

Guerin received the first award of his career after winning his lone singles match of the week.  Against Lamar, Guerin recorded his team's point by rallying for a 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 victory at the No. 3 position against Marton Horvath.  The win was his second of the season.

The Blue & Gold will be back in action again later today when they battle SEC foe, No. 43 Arkansas at 1 p.m. in Fayetteville.
