Las Vegas, Nev. - The UMKC women's tennis team (10-12, 6-2) closed out its regular season with a 4-0 win over South Dakota State (4-14, 2-5) on Saturday at Bally's Resort.  In the match, the bottom three players in the UMKC lineup led the way, as the four, five and six positions all picked up wins.

At No. 5, Jillian Yakominich downed Carrie Jansen, 7-5, 6-2, while Holly Davis defeated Nellie Bloomberg at No. 6, 6-4, 6-1.  Suzan Lisenby, meanwhile, notched the matche's clinching point with a 6-2, 3-6, 7-5 win over Megan McDougall, 6-2, 3-6, 7-5.

In the squad's other singles matches, Eva Dalvai led Bryna Nasenbeny, 6-0, 1-2 at No. 1, while Laura Bouet led Brittany Goeden, 3-0 at No. 2 when the squad clinched the match.   At No. 3, Chelsea Horner led Caitlen Brannen, 2-0.

In doubles action, Dalvai and Horner defeated Nasenbeny and Goeden, 8-0 at No. 1, while Bouet and Lisenby clinched the double's point with an 8-2 win over Jansen and Bloomberg at No. 2.  In the third doubles match, Yakominich and Ball led Katie Elifson and Molly Johnson, 5-3 at No. 3 when the doubles point was clinched.

With the win, UMKC clinches the third seed in The Summit League Tournament and will take on No. 2 seeded Oral Roberts on April 23.
